Precast Facilities
Australian Precast Solutions Pty Ltd is a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Abigroup Ltd and was registered in 2008.
The company was created after Abigroup set up a dedicated manufacturing facility to service the Westlink M7 Motorway project.
It was considered essential to have a dedicated precast facility to make sure that the project’s tight programme and high quality objectives could be successfully achieved.
The success of this operation led to the creation of Australian Precast Solutions and the ongoing manufacture of high quality structural precast components to the construction industry from permanent production facilities.
The precast team has played a key role in some of Australia’s largest engineering projects, including the Albury Wodonga Hume Freeway, where a purpose-built precast factory on site delivered more than 500 Super-T bridge beams within a tight construction programme.
Other major projects include the Windsor Flood Evacuation Route, Geelong Bypass, Essendon Fields, the Northern Busway Alliance in Brisbane and Brisbane’s massive Gateway Upgrade Project - which involved the construction of an on site factory to deliver a variety of precast and reinforced concrete products.
Australian Precast Solutions is able to provide extensive technical assistance and in-house engineering design to maximise the benefits of using precast concrete elements.
Products include:
- Prestressed bridge components;
- Post-tensioned elements; and
- Reinforced concrete products.
The company’s comprehensive skills also include the handling and delivery of complex precast products and it’s fully prequalified for the production of precast and prestressed components for the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW, Main Roads Queensland and VicRoads.
