Making a difference in our community
Abigroup has a genuine regard for the interests of all stakeholders including clients, employees, suppliers, regulatory authorities and communities. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with these stakeholders is crucial to the sustainability of our business. To strengthen ties with stakeholders, Abigroup operates programs in the areas:
- Community Partnerships and Legacy – while our project teams may only be in the community for a relatively short time, Abigroup actively engages with the community to ensure it leaves a positive legacy for the long term. See a list of some of our sponsorships.
- Corporate Social Responsibility – a new CSR plan will be unveiled in 2010.
- Indigenous Relationships – Abigroup has introduced the Structured Training Employment Package (STEP) across the business to provide training, mentoring and ongoing employment to indigenous recruits. Read more about this initiative.
