At Abigroup we actively encourage and reward innovation and improvements in productivity. We value thinking that leads to new ideas and better ways of doing things, whether it be through a top-down approach or bottom-up.

We have a number of award schemes that promote the generation and sharing of innovations across the company.

The award schemes are administered at an operational level within the company's business units, with winning entries and ideas shared across the entire organisation.

Abigroup Contractors Central Region (NSW & ACT)

Each year the Golden Boot is presented bi-monthly in recognition of best practice or innovation on our projects in the areas of safety, environment and quality. With each award Abigroup gives a cash sponsorship of $1000 which is accumulated over the year and presented to a nominated charity.

Past recipients have been beyondblue, The Cancer Council of NSW and Youth Off the Streets. In 2011 the nominated charity is BoysTown.

Abigroup Contractors Northern Region (QLD)

The Engenius Award for Constructive Thinking encourages our employees to strive for high performance, exceeding best practice, to think outside the square and communicate fresh and innovative engineering and construction solutions with emphasis on safety, quality, environment, cost efficiency and time outcomes.

The award was launched in 2009 and successfully showcases the work of our people and site teams. It is presented 3 times a year, with an overall winner announced at the end of the year.

Abigroup Contractors Southern Region (VIC & SA)

The Lumina Award honours the unique demonstration of best practice in operational delivery, design and systems solutions while living Abigroup's values through our behaviours, with emphasis on outstanding results in a viable and sustainable business - safety, quality, environmental, financial, time and customer/stakeholder outcomes.

Abigroup Water

To achieve Abigroup Water's vision of 'Our People are Building Australia's Water Future', the Aquis Award was launched in 2011. It was created to foster the sharing of information, to promote a collaborative team approach and to reward staff who share their 'Innovation, Achievement or Lessons Learned and how it demonstrates Excellence in Water Engineering and Construction' through safety, technology, quality, sustainability, operability, value for money, community and partnership.

The Aquis Award is presented 3 times a year, with the annual award winner being announced in December.
