The works include the construction of a new multi-storey building which includes inpatient wards, ambulatory, outpatient and pathology services. Additionally, the existing building will be reconfigured to expand the Emergency Department, Outpatients and Maternity areas.
The Stage 1 redevelopment works include:
- 90 additional inpatient beds to the Acute Health Services, with the capacity to increase by an additional 30 beds;
- A co-located and expanded floor comprising ambulatory care, outpatients, antenatal, allied health consulting rooms and treatment spaces;
- Relocation and expansion of supporting space for pathology and clinical information;
- Link bridges;
- Cafe; and
- Landscaping.
