The early works will prepare the hospital campus for future expansion and will ensure the hospital can continue to provide care for its patients as the expansion progresses.
The works will include the construction of new parking areas, a loading dock and a helipad as well as the reticulation of new services (water, fire, gas, sewer) around the perimeter of the hospital campus.
This early works contract is the enabling works for Stage 1 of a $139 million upgrade of the hospital which will include the development of a new multi-storey building with inpatient wards, ambulatory area, outpatient and allied health services, pathology and clinical information.
