Abigroup names Yatala facility after long-serving employee

27 October 2010

Abigroup's Plant and Operations Facility in Yatala, Queensland, has been officially named the Bill Pusell Plant and Operations Facility in honour of Bill Pusell, who recently celebrated 50 years with the company.

The plant was named after Bill at a ceremony on 26 October which was attended by senior figures from Abigroup including MD David Jurd and Queensland General Manager Steve Abson.

Steve said, "Bill's loyalty over the past 50 years is a testament to his character and by naming this facility after him I hope that we are not only honouring Bill's many years of service but also inspiring the next generation of employees to exhibit similar qualities."

Bill attended the ceremony with his wife and son and said, "I have enjoyed my career with the company and am honoured to be recognised in this way.

"I can got out to Yatala now and swing past and see my yard, which is nice."

Bill started his career at Graham Evans on 26 August 1960 and worked on various projects throughout NSW and Queensland. In 1982 Graham Evans was acquired by Abignano Pty Limited, which later became Abigroup.

In 1988 Bill took up the position of overseeing the plant yard which over the years has provided an invaluable service to the company.
